4th Plankton Invasion webisode: “John Quichotte”
Here’s the 4th Plankton Invasion webisode. We fully realize that it took us longer than initially planned but we do hope that the extra lenght of this webisode will compensate for the delay. Check out “John Quichotte” and don’t spare us your comments.
This webisode was still inhouse written by Joeri. Next month, however, the basic idea should come from the monthly (April) joke contest winner. Right now it seems that Sir Morgray has the lead with his ‘hotdog’ joke. So, now is the time to join the invasion, just send in a joke or an idea. The April contest will close on April the 30th, obviously.
Plankton on TV
PlanktonInvasion debutes on TV in SPOTLIGHT, a lifestyle program on JimTv (a Flemisch Tv youth channel.)Angelique and her Jim team payed us a visit at Tinkertree and Grid two weeks ago. They took a little interview, thereby drawing the creators out off their shell and will show a glimpse behind the invasion.
For the non Flemisch people a digital version will posted on our website next week.
When:
Friday April 4, at 17u00, 20u00 and 23u30
Saturday April 5, at 22u00
Sunday April 6, at 17u30
Wednesday April 9, at 22u00
Thx to Angelique and her team
Newsflash
We are currently working on a brand new full length episode. The storyline is approved, the storyboard made, the animatic and audio locked.
I am now working on the models, background, etc…animating like crazy. With a bit of luck the new Plankton Invasion episode will be online in a couple of weeks (2 max.3 weeks).
For now I can only give you the working title: “Windmills”.
Weener
To give you guys an idea of how things will work when you start posting your jokes, we have developed two examples from idea to finished webisode. To make it look as real as possible, we rated our little gag 5 stars, since it is supposed to be the winner of the competition. (But mostly because we just could not resist it.)

This is the second example; a full length webisode dealing more closely with Plankton’s central theme of Gobal WarmingJust one more thing before we leave you to it. Please keep your ideas short and sweet (max 800 characters)

No commentsPlankton Invasion is a mini series of monthly episodes
What makes Plankton so unique is the online script contest, making the series as interactive as can be. somewhere in february the first contest makes its debut and then you, the audience can literally decide what will happen to our special task force unit by sending in absurd jokes, wild situations and crazy scripts!
All visitors will have a chance to vote on their favourite gag. After selecting one of the top three favourites we then spring into action and start writing, storyboarding, modelling, animating and all that, making your idea into a real Plankton Invasion episode!
The winner of our monthly contest is not left empty handed, au contraire: you’ll see your name in the end titles and get a unique, one of a kind T-shirt sporting the poster of the episode. So we’ll be seeing you in February at our contest forum!
