I only caught a glimpse of the interview but it was enough to make me rush to this site. Really nice work ! The textures, the animations… yummie. I’m always wondering how much time gets into stuff like this. Just to know if I’m being lazy or don’t have the skills yet. :-)

By the way, isn’t that coastline Oostende? If so, could you confirm because I don’t want to get nuked by Captain John C. Star when I go surfing.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hey Svenson,

Don’t worry, we are gonna get the interview on the website this week.
A 2 to 3 minute webisode takes about 1 (big) month and 4days for the 30sec joke

About the settings; Yeah, the Cap’n is seriously invading our coastline and surfers should look out, .. ( there must be a nice joke in there somewhere ;)

We like to keep background a bit undefined but just between you and me :-) It’s actually the coastline of Oostduinkerke, I grew up there so …

    Greets,
    Joeri

    Hi Joeri,

Is that like a (minimal) 8 hours a day working kind of job because I noticed somewhere a lot the word “jupiler” which can stimulate the ideas but at the same time disturb the workrithm …depending on the quantities ;-)

As for the surfing idea, I didn’t really think of it but maybe Medusa can jump a surfers face and the Cap’n takes over to rush the beach with his matches on a wave of plankton. Anyway, I’ll avoid Oostduinkerke for a while.

And Perdio, as far as I can tell from the screens it’s Lightwave (certainly not Maya but then there’s still Max 3D). In this case Joeri knows best.

    Hey Svenson,
Its more like a big month, meaning a bit above the average working day hours :)
Concerning your idea; perhaps you should take it to the Plankton April contest forum? Who knows people give yours the most rates eh

    Hey Pedro,
The animation is done with MessiahStudio and rendered with Fprime in Lightwave.

    ok thx Joeri.
im searching for a good 3D program for learning how to work with it and use it.
and i got also another little question: do you need to pay for the 3D program??

    grts,
    perdio
